Recon uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate proposal drafts. This section explains exactly how that works.
When you request an AI proposal draft, the following context is sent to Anthropic's API:
Data sent to Anthropic's API is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy and their API data usage terms. We use Anthropic's API in a way that does not permit Anthropic to use your data to train their models (per Anthropic's API terms as of the effective date of this policy — review Anthropic's current terms for the latest).
AI-generated proposals are drafts. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any content before submitting it to a government agency. Do not include classified, controlled, or sensitive government information in proposal generation prompts.
We share your data only as necessary to provide the Service:

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with government agencies, recruiters, or other contractors. We do not share your bid history or business intelligence with third parties for their own use.
Legal disclosures. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ForgeLine Systems, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If ForgeLine Systems is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all its assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify you in advance where required by law.
Active accounts. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
After cancellation. We retain your data for 90 days after account closure. This gives you time to export anything you need. After 90 days, your account data is permanently deleted from our systems.
Aggregate and anonymized data. We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable aggregate data (e.g., platform-wide usage statistics) indefinitely.
Legal holds. In some cases, we may be required to retain data longer to comply with legal obligations.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take it seriously and will notify you promptly in the event of a breach that affects your personal information, as required by law.
Regardless of where you're located, we honor these data rights:
Access. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction. You can update most of your account and profile information directly in your account settings. Contact us for anything you can't edit yourself.
Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and personal data. We'll delete your data within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Export. You can request an export of your bid data, profile, and tracked opportunities before canceling.
Opt out of marketing communications. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You'll still receive transactional emails related to your account and billing.
